The City of Au Gres will once again be operating the Harbor of Refuge and Boating Access Site through a co-operative agreement with the State of Michigan. The City will be selling the State DNR stickers at fees designated by the State of Michigan for the launch site at the mouth of the Au Gres River.

Reservations for the Harbor of Refuge can be made through the State Central Reservation System at 1-800-44-PARKS or Click here. These reservations will be forwarded to the City of Au Gres via computer. Fees for the Au Gres State Dock are also set by the State of Michigan. Seasonal docks are available at the Harbor this year.

Amenities at the Harbor include bathrooms, showers, electric and water hook-ups, picnic tables, grills, gas pumpout and dog run. State docks are located on the Au Gres River at the US-23 bridge. This location is in the heart of Au Gres and within walking distance to restaurants, ice cream, shopping, campground, laundromat, and amusement park.
